Clearview Captioning

Clearview Captioning was founded based on a need for communication facilitation for those who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Our goal is effective communication in a variety of settings for individuals who do not clearly hear spoken communication and prefer captioned text over signed languages.

Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) has developed a speech-to-text system for equal access service for deaf and hard of hearing individuals. More information about C-Print® can be found at RIT’s website

The system was developed to provide real time captioning and is tailored to fit the client’s needs. The captioning can be broken down to a more “conceptual” translation of what is being said similar to that of sign language interpreting.

Clearview Captioning has developed it’s policy based on federal and state law, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and a high standard of professionalism as outlined in the RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) Code of Professional Conduct, based on the fact that we are “text interpreting” and would like to follow the same high standard of conduct.
